No baby shower is complete with a 'birth announcement' and a bib. I actually did a jungle themed 'birth announcement' for my cousin's baby, Olivia. But I do believe this one is cuter (sorry cuz). This one is made from the Stork and Baby file and I did it in pink of course for the little bundle.

Since I do not have a little one of my own (all mine are teenagers), I had to use the next best thing, my Cabbage Patch Kid, Cierra. She is modeling the baby bib I made using the Bear with Blocks file. I turned the bear into a tear bear, used felt for the outter part of the blocks, and did use paper for the letters. This was all attached to the bib using fabric glue.

The little decorative shoe is just for that, decoration. The shoe was cut with Close to My Heart's new Cricut cartridge, Artise, and the flower was cut with a punch out of Michaels. All card stock used in these projects is also Close to My Heart.

An Apple for Teacher

For this card, I colored the child in with Copic Markers (E00, E01, B26, B24, E13, Y11, Y13).
I also used Reflections paper (green card stock, white card stock, and "Apples").
I inked the green paper with Encore Champagne colored ink and used Spellbinders for the green and apple paper design. The embossing of the white part of the card is from Sizzix.
If you look close, I used some glitter glue/Stickles on the eyes, buttons, and apple stem which came from Close to My Heart.

A sudden change........

Well, there has been a 'sudden change' in my crafty life. Thought I would share. Due to a break down in communication and some differences of opinions, I will no longer be on the Creative Kuts Design Team.

There was one last creation I had made with a Creative Kuts file (Guess who is coming to dinner)

Its not just a turkey, an iris folded turkey, that is an easel card and (although you cant see it in this picture), there is a drawer under the card. So there are four techniques in this card. Wait - you only count three.

1. Iris Fold
2. Easel Card
3. Drawer under the card

Oh forgot to mention, there is a brad on the drawer as a drawer pull. That brad started off as blue, and I changed it through heat emboss to make it green. There is 4!

The paper used for the Iris Fold is the Dotty paper from Close to My Heart. The brad, heat gun, and embossing powder was from them as well. Click on Close to My Heart to go to my website to order your supplies to make this adorable card. Dont know how to make this card? Just ask. I can make a video. Dont know how to Iris Fold? Again, just ask - can do a video on that too. Anything you dont know, just ask. A video posted right here or even on my website is sure to come.

This darling of the pumpkin patch is on a Tri Shutter card. She is made from the "Got Kaluha?" file (not sure if its in the store or not- one of Cheryl's speciality files).
The leave in the decor are made from Spellbinders and the pumpkins are just hand made by me.

Well I have been busy today..... First, I tried to make magnet paper dolls - didnt work. As my daughter would say, "Epic Fail!" Then I tried to make the two girls on The Simpsons. Here is what happened with that:

It is July and while it is warm outside - the common theme is "Christmas in July" - thus, Crafty 1s Designs has changed its blog to look a little more Christmas-y. I hoe you enjoy.
